Sept 3, 2008 Meeting: GCHS Conservation Team: HELLBENDERS!

During the spring of 2008, a group of GCHS conservation committee members participated in hellbender surveys in the state of Kentucky. The program has very real conservation value and the results will be used to lobby for federal endangered species listing for the hellbender, Cryptobranchus alleganiensis. Participants were rewarded early with a magnificent experience. During the September 2008 meeting, we will reflect on this springs outings while reviewing some spectacular photos!
